SEX CLAIM EX-PUPIL'S GUN BID
A VIOLENT criminal took a gun into a school to shoot a teacher
he says sexually abused him years earlier, a court heard yesterday.
The 40-year-old gunman told the High Court in Edinburgh he only
stopped when he saw the classroom was full of pupils.
Matthew George, 56, a teacher at Kerelaw School in Stevenston,
Ayrshire, denies attacking the ex-pupil and forcing him to performa
sex act in 1979 or 1980.
The witness - now a career criminal - was sent to the school
for troubled kids in his teens.
He told the court he once saw George engaging in a sex act with
a man. He said the teacher made him performa similar act.
Police interviewed the former pupil in 1997 during a probe into
the school.
But he said he felt "betrayed" when nothing seemed
to happen. He told the court he returned to Kerelaw "to shootMatt
George" - but changed his mind when he saw the class full
of children.
The trial continues.
