6 Things we want
public to know
It is now time for the falsely accused in the Lewis fiasco to
give you the public an insight into the facts that the wrongly
accused have discovered in thier own investigations some of which
was made known in the Scotland on Sunday earlier this year.
1. The main evidence was obtained by both the Social services
and the police and the NCH from some one who spent her life making
these type of allegations presumably to gain attention, from the
day the children were born these allegations started, both in
England and here on Lewis. No evidence was ever produced to back
up these accusations.
2. Due to one allegation in 2000-2001 the children had to have
a medical which was performed in Ness by the police doctor and
no evidence was found. Where did the 'number of years' come from
that is being claimed by some in a recent article.
3. It was also known that despite the woman not being allowed
to see her children un supervised she was meeting them in Stornoway
on regular occasions and had been seen by many people, being a
small community. All this in the year that some of the accused
had left the Island.
4. because of this history of accusations the social workers convinced
them selves that the mother was right but in 2000 it was revealed
to them some of the lies she had talked them into believing, was
totally wrong and a report was made and from then on she was not
to see the children on her own.
5.The children from a very early age were subject to weekly interagation
by the social services. But because the childen had nothing to
say time and time again, the social workers were convinced that
the children were too afraid to tell the truth. Mr. Bill Thompson
an expert and leading light in exposing the orkney shambles is
quoted to say,Only the release of this information is liable to
clear the names of those falsely accused. He said: ''People want
to kill them. They will suffer stigma forever. They need a chance
to clear their names. Social workers and police have one-track
minds in these cases. They were convinced this case was true and
were blind to evidence to the contrary. The belief system that
led to Orkney is alive and well in Lewis more than 10 years later....[Police
and social workers] should have asked themselves if they were
leading the children and this should have prompted a review.''
6. It is also feared due to things uncovered by those who's lives
have been ruined that the mother is a greater danger to the children
than even the family were shocked to discover.
Now we hear that the report is to be put back fearing the childrens
identity will be exposed, why did they not think of that when
they allowed the childrens family to be exposed to the media,
along with thier names, before the facts, proved they did not
have the evidence to prove thier case. The falsely accused would
like to stress we dont want a cover up, and we wonder why some
one who has caused such devastation not only to the wrongly accused
but to social services, and more importantly to the children themselves,
is still walking around Stornoway free to probably commit the
same acts to other as yet unknown as yet people. Why have the
police not brought her to justice for perverting the course of
justice
